Fury vs Usyk

It has taken a while to get here, but for the first time in the four-belt era there is an undisputed world heavyweight title fight to savour - Fury vs Usyk.

Tyson Fury puts his WBC belt on the line in Riyadh, while Oleksandr Usyk brings his WBA, WBO and IBF titles to the Arabian party (get all the best offers for the fight here).

The fight was originally pencilled-in for February, but a nasty cut suffered by the Briton in sparring postponed the event until this weekend.

In the past, such an occurrence would have left boxing fans groaning and doubting whether a bout of this significance would ever happen.

But things are different now, with the Saudi’s keen to show the world how serious they are about this sport. What head of entertainment Turki Alalshikh wants, he tends to get.

Fury vs Usyk Prediction

It is a fight that has split the boxing world – just as a 50/50 should.

Will Fury use his size and weight advantage to try and bully the former undisputed cruiserweight champion? Or will Usyk’s mobility and ring IQ be too much for the Gypsy King – a man also not short on skills.

Expect this to be a cagey start with both men showing respect. Both Fury and Usyk like to use feints and it could be a twitchy opening few rounds. In a very tight affair, I can see both men have successes and taking rounds in a see-saw chess match.

Fury vs Usyk Tips

Of course, anything can happen in this fight – a case made for any outcome - that is what makes it so enthralling. But I can see the pair nullifying their respective skills leaving the judges split.

Nobody wants a draw, but that is my pick.

We may have to wait for the rematch in the autumn to find out who really is the best heavyweight on the planet.
