We have three more tips as the action continues at Ally Pally.
Joe Cullen v Brendan Dolan
The Northern Irishman didn't exactly set the world on fire in the first round and I really fancy Cullen to take this one by the horns and put a marker out on the section of the draw that's wide open following Peter Wright's exit.
As long as Cullen averages 40% on the doubles, he should win and win well. The 13/5 on offer for a straight sets win is very enticing.
Simon Whitlock v Ryan Joyce
We get the first sighting of The Wizard and although the Premier League didn't quite go to plan for him last year, he's still in a much better place than in recent years, if not quite at the level he was back in 2011.
He should beat Joyce comfortably but the short price puts me off. Instead, the 3/5 on Whitlock to hit the highest checkout screams out. The big checkout has always been a staple of Whitlocks game and I think the price is longer than usual thanks to Joyce's finishing in his first round match. I'm confident on this.
Michael Smith v Ron Meulenkamp
This is the bet that I'm the most confident on since day one of the tournament. Bully Boy seems to have been backed by everyone and their mothers and even if I don't join them, I saw nothing of Meulenkamp yesterday that will challenge Bully Boy.
Smith is better in every area and will want to be more like Gurney and less like van den Bergh (unfortunately) in this first round match. His game is better in every department: Back the match treble of winner, highest checkout and most 180s.
