A profitable tournament so far, we've got three more tips today.
Chris Dobey v Vincent van der Voort
It's a real pick 'em game, and I'm going to sit on the fence for tipping purposes! Both of these will see it as a huge opportunity to get deep into this tournament, and for Dobey, it could be the kick on that he needs.
I worry for Vincent if the game goes long, he is having problems with his back and the longer he's up there, the more apparent the problems may be. But he's pretty much the same price as Dobey to hit the most maximums and that surprises me. If van der Voort does win, it will be over quickly with the Dutchman getting into his heavy scoring groove. I'd have priced him at odds-on, so I have to back him at odds against.
Brendan Dolan v Mervyn King
Dolan hasn't dropped a set in the tournament, yet he's underdog to beat King - Go figure. Dolan really impressed me in his last match and made me look foolish in my prediction! I won't be making the same mistake again and if the 'History Maker' even plays to 75% of the standard as his game against Joe Cullen, he'll win.
Mervyn will give him a game, no doubt about it, and I can see this one being a lengthy game. Neither are quick throwers, and neither will crumble. 8/15 is a very short price for the overs in the Total Sets category, but I just can't see anything else!
James Wade v Keegan Brown
Let's ignore Wade's idiocy on the oche and the post-match interview, purely darting wise, he did well to get past Asada. Brown though must fancy his chances, he's definately got the game to beat The Machine and I would love for him to finally show why he won the World Youth Championship.
The bookies have Wade as a strong favourite but I feel that the crowd will be against him after his antics and I'm surprised at the odds in the handicap markets. You can get Brown +1.5 at 6/4 and that's more than fair: If 'The Needle' can give some needle to Wade, he could have some success.
