We return from the break refreshed... Three more tips for you today, game on!
Dimitri van den Bergh v Luke Humphries
Our boy Dimitri is as short as he is for a reason: If he's going to kick on, this is the type of match where he needs to get through without issue. Luke will scrap for everything but I truly think the class will show from the Belgian.
He's looked more than comfortable so far and has scored more heavily than I expected, something he can definitely use to his advantage against Humphries. The match treble (win, most 180s and highest checkout) is a great price, and would be a great way for us to kick off the day!
Michael Smith v John Henderson
I'm not saying that Henderson is going to win this (cue the but)... BUT, he certainly shouldn't be the price that he is, in my opinion. These big fellas kind of have a similar game, albeit in different extremes. Both have an ability to hit a purple patch that lets them reel off legs at a canter, with Smith doing it longer and more often.
These two should have a proper good match and I can't wait. If Henderson can keep in legs and take his chances then he can give Smith a run for his money, he's had good wins on this stage before. As it is, 10/11 for Hendo +2.5 sets is something I'll back all day long.
Michael van Gerwen v Adrian Lewis
My mouth is already watering at this clash: Lewis was serene in his 4-0 demolition job last round and will need every bit of his talent to beat MVG. This is Michael's first big test and every man and their dog will expect him to pass it.
You're not going to see much antics in my mind, both will be laser focused and it should make for a free-flowing classic. I fully expect Michael to win, but I thought the 180 line would be higher than the 14.5 that can be generally found. These two are more than capable of clearing this, and I hope I'm right purely for viewings sake!
