Peter Wright v Peter Jacques

Wright takes on ‘The Terrier’ Peter Jacques to kick things off and there looks a decent betting opportunity. There is no value in Wright’s price of 1/6 to win but the 8/13 on Wright most 180s looks generous. In the last few months, Snakebite has been relentless in the 180 hitting; a big factor behind his game reaching a new level. Jacques is a decent enough player, who is back on the pro tour for a second time this year. Wright is far superior, however, and he can out score him in the 180 department.

Niels Zonneveld v Peter Wright

The second bet of the evening comes in the last game of Group 1. Given this is a bit of light relief, some players may not take this quite as seriously as they would a normal event. Peter Wright being the joker he is will be sure to try and have a laugh, which should give Zonneveld a chance to nab some legs off him. The +2.5 legs on Zonneveld at 13/10 is a nice price, this could be a tighter game than the odds suggest. Niels Zonnerveld is a rapidly improving youngster and at just 21 has a bright future ahead of him. He has been quietly going about his business on the development tour this year, including reaching the final on the German Tour in February. Hopefully he can show the darting world some of his talent and give Wright a tough game.
