Ryan Meikle v Gavin Carlin

Ryan Meikle is making his way in the PDC, putting in some strong performances on the development tour. However, on recent form, it is questionable if he deserves to be favourite. Therefore, we will side with Gavin Carlin at 6/5. The Northern Irishman has been clocking some very good averages and notably claimed the scalps of Michael Smith, Daryl Gurney and Jeffrey De Zwann since winning a PDC Tour Card.

Jelle Klassen v Gabriel Clemens

Gabriel Clemens has stormed onto the scene since winning a Tour Card in 2018. The German produced some very good darts in the UK Open this year, before losing 10-9 to Price in the last 16. He has shown he can compete with the very best, so with Klassen’s tendency to blow hot and cold, we will side with Clemens at 4/6. Klassen has certainly improved in the last few months, having finally shaken off the wrist injury that caused him plenty of trouble in recent years. Despite this, he is still prone to the odd poor game. Clemens has regularly averaged over 100 in the last few months and if he can play to that level, he should win this.
