Reece Robinson v Robert Thornton

His best days may be behind him, but that doesn’t mean Robert Thornton is still not a very handy player. An average in the 90’s throughout last year’s Grand Slam show he is still capable of mixing with the best. He has bags of experience which will stand him in good stead. His opponent, Reece Robinson, has only won one game in the Players Championship so far this year. He has struggled since winning back his Tour Card and could find Thornton hard to deal with. The -1.5 on Thornton at 6/4 is good value.

Keegan Brown v Jose de Sousa

Keegan Brown’s wifi stopped working during Night Twelve of the PDC Home Tour but he is back this evening and hopefully he has fixed the issue. We were surprised to see Brown odds against here, so we will take the 6/5 available on him. He went on a strong run at Players Championship 8, reaching the quarter-finals. Jose de Sousa has produced some good darts on the tour so far this year, but has struggled when facing the higher ranked players. It could be a tight game, but the odds on Brown are too big in the circumstances.
