The Utilita Arena in Sheffield plays host to the final night of the regular season in this year’s BetMGM Premier League of Darts on Thursday.
Premier League Darts Week 16
Ahead of night 16, Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and Michael van Gerwen have already guaranteed themselves a spot at next week’s grand finale in London.
As such, all eyes will be on this week’s winner-takes-all showdown between Nathan Aspinalll and Michael Smith to determine who makes up the final four on finals night.
The Bully Boy got the better of Aspinall with a 6-3 win in Leeds last week. Can Smith repeat the trick to stamp his ticket to next week’s O2 showpiece or will the Asp bite back and book a play-off berth?
Premier League Darts Predictions for Night 16
Luke Littler only needs one more win to ensure he finishes the regular season at the top of the table and he should comfortably claim that victory against rock-bottom Peter Wright.
The tie of the night sees fourth-placed Nathan Aspinall go up against fifth-placed Michael Smith. Given what’s at stake here, this is likely to be the most closely contested quarter-final of the evening, and it could go the distance.
Luke Humphries looked much more like his old self en-route to winning Night 15 in Leeds last week and he should get the better of Gerwyn Price when he begins his bid to bag a record-breaking fifth nightly success.
With little other than pride left to play for, Michael van Gerwen’s clash with Rob Cross is a tough one to call. While MVG rediscovered some form to reach last week’s final, the value could lie with Voltage after he was victorious in the Baltic Sea Darts Open on Sunday.
Who is the Week 16 Premier League Darts Favourite?
Luke Littler has set the 2024 BetMGM Premier League alight on debut and he is the Night 16 favourite at 2/1 on Bet 365.
While the teenage tornado has already qualified for next week’s play-offs in London, he will be eager to rubber stamp top spot in the table.
Furthermore, Littler will also be aiming to become the first-ever player to earn five nightly wins in a single season.

Premier League Darts Night 16 Tips
Luke Littler -1.5 Handicap vs Peter Wright and Luke Humphries to Defeat Gerwyn Price @ 19/20 10Bet
In a repeat of one of last week’s quarter-final ties, Luke Littler and Peter Wright lock horns again on Night 16. The Nuke made light work of Snakebite in Leeds with a 6-1 victory and I’m backing the 17-year old sensation to overcome a - 1.5 handicap as the first half of a 19/20 double on 10Bet
I’m going to couple that selection up by siding with Luke Humphries against Gerwyn Price. Cool Hand Luke produced a string of dominant displays to take top honours in Leeds last week and he then went on to hit a stunning nine-darter in the final of the Baltic Sea Darts Open against Rob Cross on Sunday.

Nathan Aspinall vs Michael Smith - Over 9.5 Legs @ 11/10 Betfair
Michael Smith’s quarter-final victory against Nathan Aspinall last week featured nine legs of darts (6-3) but I suspect that tally will increase this week in what is essentially a straight shootout for the last play-off place. Two of the three meetings between the pair in this year’s Premier League have gone beyond nine legs and this do-or-die showdown should follow suit.
