PDC World Championships Day 5 Betting Tips
Leg 1: Cameron Menzies vs Charlie Manby
Cameron Menzies and Charlie Manby meet in one of the most intriguing clashes on Monday’s schedule at Alexandra Palace. While Menzies is the rightful favourite, his nerves on the big stage have affected him before, making him hard to trust at a best price of 4/7 with William Hill.
Manby, meanwhile, is one of the hottest prospects in darts and is more than capable of racking up 180s when he finds his rhythm. The talented 20-year-old could also benefit from having the Ally Pally crowd on his side on debut. Combined, these factors should enable Manby to apply significant pressure on Menzies, making over 3.5 sets the sensible play
Leg 2: Martin Lukeman vs Max Hopp – Over 3.5 Sets
Martin Lukeman and Max Hopp will kick off Monday night’s action at Alexandra Palace. Lukeman has been a regular fixture at the World Darts Championship in recent years, while Hopp has not featured at the tournament since 2021.
Hopp arrives in strong form and heads into this clash as the 8/13 favourite with Paddy Power, but he is unlikely to have things all his own way against a savvy campaigner like Lukeman, who is more than capable of taking a set or two.
In fact, this one could go the distance, with all five sets very much a possibility. With that in mind, over 3.5 sets is certainly worthy of support.
Leg 3: Dirk van Duijvenbode vs Andy Baetens – van Duijvenbode Win
It can be difficult to predict whether Dirk van Duijvenbode will blow hot or cold, but he should have enough to get the better of Andy Baetens on Monday night. The Titan has shown glimpses of form during the second half of 2025, reaching the quarter-finals of the Grand Prix and finishing as runner-up at the German Darts Championship.
Van Duijvenbode has also been a major semi-finalist in the past and enjoyed a run to the last eight of the World Darts Championship back in 2021.
Baetens, on the other hand, is making his Alexandra Palace debut, and his stay on the big stage is expected to be short-lived. Van Duijvenbode’s impressive 180 scoring throughout 2025 should provide him the firepower to progress to round two by seeing off the Belgian.
Leg 4: Connor Scutt vs Simon Whitlock – Connor Scutt Win
Connor Scutt has made it through his first- round tie in each of his previous two World Championship appearances, and he should be too strong for Simon Whitlock in his latest opener.
While the Wizard represents a step up from Scutt’s opponents' across the last two years, the Sniper’s power scoring could prove decisive.
Moreover, the Londoner impressed at last month’s Grand Slam, defeating both Daryl Gurney and Karel Sedlacek, while also giving Luke Littler and Josh Rock a serious run for their money. If Scutt can replicate that level of performance on Monday night, he should overcome the legendary Aussie, who is past his peak.
