Justin Hood vs Ryan Meikle
Leg 1: Justin Hood vs Ryan Meikle - Justin Hood Win
Justin Hood’s run to the third round of this year’s World Darts Championship has been one of the tournament’s standout stories so far. Happy Feet has been one of the surprise packages of this year's showpiece, most notably taking the scalp of Danny Noppert in an Ally Pally classic in round two. Across his opening two wins, Hood has averaged 99.59 and 103.10, hitting a combined total of 16 180s along the way.
If Hood can keep that form up against Meikle, he should reach the last 16. Meikle has averaged under 90 in both of his opening victories, so he’ll need a big step up if he’s to halt Hood in his tracks.
Ricky Evans vs Charlie Manby
Leg 2: Ricky Evans vs Charlie Manby - Over 9.5 180s
There should be no shortage of 180s when Ricky Evans and Charlie Manby face off in round three on Monday afternoon. Both players have been frequent 180 hitters throughout 2025, and that was evident across the opening two rounds of this year's World Darts Championship.
Both players combined to deliver 11 maximums in Evans’ round two win over James Wade, with Rapid racking up eight of those 180s. Meanwhile, there were no fewer than 14 180s when Manby sprung a shock against Cameron Menzies in round one.
With the competition now at a first-to-four-sets format, 10 or more maximums from the pair looks well within range.
Nathan Aspinall vs Kevin Doets
Leg 3: Nathan Aspinall vs Kevin Doets - Nathan Aspinall Over 6.5 180s
Nathan Aspinall’s third round clash with Kevin Doets could be tighter than the pre-match odds suggest. Aspinall has a habit of doing things the hard way, and Dutchman Doets certainly knows how to make life tricky.
Instead of backing Aspinall for the win, look for him to hit seven or more 180s. The Stockport star has been one of the PDC’s most consistent maximum hitters this season, and that ability to rack up 180s could be key against Doets. Aspinall hit six 180s in his round one win over Lawrence Ilagan, making 7+ maximums entirely achievable in a match that could go deep.
Josh Rock vs Callan Rydz
Leg 4: Josh Rock vs Callan Rydz - Josh Rock Win
Expect another heavy-hitting clash when Callan Rydz and Josh Rock go head-to-head in Monday night’s curtain-raiser at Alexandra Palace. Pre-match favourite Rock kicked off his campaign with an efficient 3-1 win over Gemma Hayter and followed it up with a dominant straight sets victory over Joe Comito in round two, averaging just under 101.5.
Rydz has proven he can rise to the occasion, as he did with his second round win over Daryl Gurney, but this will be his toughest test yet. Rock’s multiple deep runs in major TV events this year, along with a strong seasonal average of 98.13, should give him the edge over the Riot.
