Gian van Veen vs Stephen Bunting  - Gian van Veen Win

Gian van Veen can build on his solid start to life in the Premier League by getting the better of Stephen Bunting in Thursday night's opening quarter-final tie. The Dutchman already has 3 points to his name after finishing runner-up to Michael van Gerwen in week 1. Van Veen came up short last week, losing 6-5 to Gerwyn Price, but he performed well, and the result could easily have gone his way.

Bunting, meanwhile, is one of just two players yet to open his account after two weeks of action. The Bullet squandered a 4-0 lead in Belgium last week against Jonny Clayton when losing 6-4. That kind of setback could weigh heavily on Bunting psychologically, particularly given his struggles in the Premier League last year.

With three wins from their last four encounters, van Veen looks well placed to claim another victory here at best odds of 1/2 on Betfair.

Luke Humphries vs Josh Rock - Luke Humphries Win

Luke Humphries has made a slower start than expected to his Premier League campaign, but his quarter-final clash with Josh Rock on Thursday night presents a prime opportunity to add a couple of more points to his tally. To be fair, Cool Hand has faced a tough opening schedule, going up against Gerwyn Price and Michael van Gerwen - two weekly winners - before losing a last-leg decider to Luke Littler last Thursday. With 2 points already on the board, Humphries will be confident of doubling that total in Glasgow against Rock.

The Northern Irishman has endured a rough introduction to the Premier League, losing 6-2 to both Jonny Clayton and Michael van Gerwen, and Humphries represents a step up in class. Priced at 8/15 on 10Bet, Cool Hand looks set to heap more misery on newcomer Rocky.

Jonny Clayton vs Gerwyn Price - Over 9.5 Legs

The last of Thursday night's four quarter-final ties is an all-Welsh affair as Jonny Clayton takes on Gerwyn Price. The two went all the way in one of last week's semi-finals, with Price claiming a 6-5 win via a final-leg decider. Another tight encounter looks likely here, making Over 9.5 Legs an attractive option at 10/11 on Paddy Power.

The Welsh duo also went to the wire at the Masters last month, with Price again coming out on top. Both players are in good form, and their latest clash could very well go the distance once again.

Premier League Darts Night 3 Weekly Winners

Gerwyn Price To Win Night 3 - @ 8/1 (bet365)

After bagging his first nightly win of the season in Belgium last Thursday, Gerwyn Price is more than capable of following it up with another success in Glasgow on Night 3. The Iceman will enter his quarter-final clash with compatriot Jonny Clayton in high spirits, and he can also draw confidence from the superior head-to-head record he holds in that fixture.

Price certainly wouldn’t be fazed by the prospect of a semi-final showdown with either Luke Littler or Michael van Gerwen, the latter of whom he dispatched comfortably in last week’s final. If the market plays out as expected, Price could find himself in the night’s main event against either Luke Humphries or Gian van Veen, and the form book suggests the value could lie with the Welshman at an eye-catching 6/1 on William Hill.

Gian van Veen To Win Night 3 - @ 7/1 (Bet365)

On the other side of the draw, Gian van Veen looks worth backing to claim his first weekly win at 6/1 with William Hill. The Giant made it to the final on the opening night and will start with a favourable tie against Stephen Bunting. If van Veen gets the better of the Bullet, he will likely face Luke Humphries. Humphries, however, has struggled for consistency in recent weeks and has a poor head-to-head record against van Veen. If the Dutchman can navigate his way to another final, he has every chance of going one better this time around and pocketing the five point weekly prize.
