Betting Tip: Both Teams To Score

The Europa League final looks like it could be a much more open affair than the Champions League final which is approaching this weekend. Two sides who have shown great scoring form in this competition meet in Gdańsk for the showpiece event of the midweek.

Manchester United are understandable favourites in the betting given their strong domestic campaign, Villarreal have hit about par in La Liga this term but have excelled in this competition, one manager Unai Emery is renowned for. 

Emery won a remarkable three Europa League titles on the trot with Sevilla, and then reached the final with Arsenal in 2019. He was slightly derided by some for his stint in England, but he has a wealth of victories under his belt and United will underestimate them at their peril. 

The yellow submarine have plenty of forward options who can cause problems. Paco Alcacer, Samuel Chukwueze, Carlos Bacca, Moi Gomez and Gerard Moreno provide an attacking arsenal every side should be concerned about. 

United have found goals fairly easy to come by this season too, only neighbours Manchester City scored more than their 73 league goals. Edison Cavani has lead the line superbly and was an inspired capture, whilst Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood are sure to be in amongst it. 

Backing both teams to score therefore looks the most sensible angle of attack at a generous 10/11.
