Euro 2021 Group A Prediction: Italy and Turkey to qualify

Group A looks set to provide an intriguing start to Euro 2020 on Friday. The group includes some tantalizing match-ups and many people’s predicted dark horses for the tournament , Italy. 

Since failing to qualify for the 2018 World Cup, Roberto Mancini has got The Azzurri back on track and earned a spot at the top of the market for Group A winner at a price of 4/7. Italy are currently 1/18 to qualify from the group and sixth favourites in the outright market at a best price of 11/1. 

Italy are understandably clear favourites but will face tests in Group A, with the toughest likely to come in their opening fixture against Senol Gunes’ Turkey team.

Tactical expert Raj Chohan has highlighted the strengths of Italian attacker Federico Chiesa and has tipped him to be the talisman for The Azzurri at the Euro’s. After being the bright spark in an otherwise bleak season for Juventus, Chiesa has ‘showed he can carry a team.’

Martin Laurence of WhoScored highlighted some interesting value in the Italy’s top goalscorer market: 'I think there is a cheeky bet on the top goalscorer for Italy if we look towards Jorginho who could be on pens. I don't see them scoring a huge amount of goals but that would rely on them not going as far as maybe they are being billed to.'
