Euro 2021 Group E Prediction: Poland to qualify

Despite some question marks around the squad selection, it appears Spain will have a relatively easy time of it in Group E and they're heavily fancied to top the group at 4/11 and 1/40 to qualify.

There's a little more value in looking elsewhere and it's almost neck-and-neck in the market to qualify between Poland and Sweden at 8/15. Sweden are a well organised and efficient side who will be difficult to beat, but it's hard to look past Poland at the same price with their star man up top.

Robert Lewandowski will be heavily relied upon to carry this side, but if he's anywhere close to his best his goals should be enough. Expect them to kick their tournament off with a confidence boosting victory against a poor Slovakia side.

Euro 2020 Group E preview: what the experts say

Mark O'Haire appeared on our Euro 2020 Preview and the betting expert was scathing in his assessment of Slovakia's chances.

"They played a 4-6-0 formation against the Republic of Ireland in a play-off, barely created anything and scraped through on penalties… They've tried to change the coach in order to turn things around but it's just been ugly. They'll try and park the bus and grind something out but I'm against them in quite a few different markets."

There are various markets you can delve into to oppose Slovakia, including lowest scoring team in the tournament at 9/1 and to score under 2.5 goals at 5/6. They're a best price of 8/11 to finish last in Group E.

Meanwhile, WhoScored's Martin Laurence expressed some concerns with Sweden and sided with Poland in the market to qualify: "My issue with Sweden is I don't see an upset in them at all. They're very functional but I can't remember the last time they sprung a surprise really against a stronger team".

If you look at the Euro 2021 Group E odds it's Spain who top the markets to qualify and to win, while it's tight between Poland and Sweden as to who will join them. Slovakia are widely expected to finish bottom of the pack.
