Leicester vs Wolves

  • Leicester will be buoyed by their last gasp Community Shield triumph over Manchester City last week.
  • Bruno Lage takes charge of his first competitive match as Wolves manager.

Betting Tip: Both teams to score

Kelechi Iheanacho carried on his fine form from the end of last season with the winner in the Community Shield last week and his Leicester side kick off the premier league campaign at the king power against a Wolves side that not many are sure what to expect from this season.

There are plenty of defensive injuries for the hosts though, Wesley Fofana will be out for a while Johnny Evans, James Justin and Timothy Castagne are all also unlikely to feature. That leaves the Foxes light at the back and with Wolves expected to play a more expansive game under former Benfica boss Bruno Lage, they could well be breached. Even if Daniel Podence and Pedro Neto are out, the Old Gold welcome back main man Raul Jimenez who may be flanked by Francisco Trincao and Adama Traore.

Having said that, the hosts have three dangerous strikers in Jamie Vardy, Patson Daka as well as the aforementioned Iheanacho. Harvey Barnes and James Maddison are also back in the fold, so you can see why they’re favourites here. They should score given their firepower, so it’s the odds-against quotes of 11/10 on both teams to score that appeals.
