Salford v Sutton

Salford put in a mighty display against Derby in the EFL Cup and would have got through if it wasn’t for a Ravel Morrison stunner.

This weekend they face newly promoted Sutton, who have had a tough start in the EFL with a 2-1 loss to Forest Green and then against Cardiff in the Cup, and it doesn’t get much easier playing Salford away.

Salford should be able to make light work of Sutton and grab the three-points available.

Reading v Preston

Reading had the pick of the games last week with a 3-2 loss to Stoke on the opening game of the season.

Preston are a team that you worry for after their 4-1 defeat at home against new boys Hull City. Frankie McAvoy will have to pick his team up against Reading, but it’ll be a tough task for The Lilywhites.

The Madejski will be packed for this one and I think the crowd gives the Royals an edge.

Swansea vs Sheffield United

The late night kick off sees Sheffield United take on Swansea and it promises to be the game of day.

Swansea finished in the play-off final last year but started the season off with a 2-1 defeat at a depleted Blackburn.

The Swans have lost key players and Steve Cooper during the summer, whilst Sheffield United have been able to keep most of their star players for now and even after the 1-0 defeat to Birmingham, there were encouraging signs for The Blades.

Slavisa Jokanovic’s men will kick on against Swansea and take all three points.
