England vs Albania Stats
- England have won their last 3 matches against Albania in all competitions.
- England are undefeated in their last 8 World Cup qualifying matches.
Betting Tip: England to win and both teams to score
Albania realistically needs to win at Wembley to have any chance of making 2nd place and qualification given Poland face Andorra on the same day and Albania currently trails Poland by 2 points with just 2 games left.
Most teams tend to come up against England and sit back, there’s no real need for Albania to do that all the way throughout this match so it could be quite an open and entertaining affair. It’s often quite mundane watching England because it’s attack vs defence for the large majority of the game but there could be more space here for the talented England attackers to put on a show in front of the home crowd.
There are a fair few players who are injured or out of form for the Three Lions. Harry Kane, Tyrone Mings, Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire are struggling, Jadon Sancho and Raheem Sterling aren’t starting much for their sides, that being said the likes of Declan Rice, Reece James, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Phil Foden are in fine fettle.
The home side are short enough in the betting at best price 1/8 but if you take England to win and both teams to score you get bigger than 3/1 which seems a very big jump given no goals for Albania is useless for them. They have some talent with the lively Armando Broja up top and they’ve performed admirably in this group. He may be able to take advantage of some out of form centre-halves. Let’s not forget Hungary scored at Wembley in the last international break.
