Brighton to beat West Brom 

Brighton should be one of the sides safe from relegation this season and aiming for a prolonged cup run and a genuine chance of silverware, they’ve been in decent nick of late too playing some good stuff. 

West Brom are without a fair few players and their eyes are likely to be on promotion rather than the cup. The Seagulls can take advantage of the malaise around the Baggies.

Brentford to beat Port Vale

Like Brighton, Brentford are likely to be good enough to stay clear of relegation so may go fairly strong as they head to League 2 Port Vale. 

Vale have lost 3 of their last 5 and look like they may need a few additions to the squad to spruce things up. The impressive Bees should have enough strength in depth to swat them aside.

Oxford to beat Lincoln

Oxford have been flying this season, scoring plenty of goals in the process and they can add to Lincoln’s disappointing campaign on Saturday.

Ipswich to beat Gillingham 

Ipswich are starting to look a much more rounded side under Kieran McKenna who’s especially looked to solidify the defence that was leaky under Paul Cook.

McKenna has a wealth of options in midfield and up front and players off the bench could prove crucial at breaking down a Gillingham side who have lost 6 of their last 7.

MK Dons to beat Accrington 

Accrington have long been a breathe of fresh air in League 1 with their bold approach to all matches. It’s generally come back to bite them against the stronger league 1 sides though and MK Dons provide a serious test. 

Liam Manning has done a fine job and they’ve won 4 of their last 5 away league games under him and they should get apace to work their magic in Lancashire.
