Betting Tip: Both Teams to Score

It’s an all London affair in what should be a hotly contested game at the Den on Saturday Lunchtime. Crystal Palace fans will be eager for a prolonged cup run and given their added strength in depth this season it is a distinct possibility.

Roy Hodgson tended to prioritise premier league survival over any cup run and that was his main duty to be fair to him, but Palace are looking to grow as a side and this competition represent a great opportunity to showcase their progression under Patrick Vieira.

However, Vieira will have to do without the quartet of Jordan Ayew, Cheikhou Kouyate, Jeffrey Schlupp and Wilf Zaha for the next couple of weeks due to AFCON representation. That being said, Conor Gallagher should be back in the frame and the only injury the Eagles have is to midfielder James McArthur.

We could see the talented Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze get a start and both players shined against championship opposition when they were featuring for Reading and QPR respectively. The likes of Nathan Ferguson, Nathaniel Clyne and Jairo Riedwald could also benefit from possible squad rotation.

Millwall are having another decent season considering their budget relative to the rest of the division and the job Gary Rowett has done in Bermondsey should not go unnoticed. They could be without the influential Jed Wallace here though after interest from a few clubs, one of which is believed to be Turkish giants Besiktas.

The Lions have a tag of being quite a low scoring and direct team, but no Championship side has seen both teams to score land more than Millwall.

BTTS is chalked up at an enticing 19/20 and that looks a worthy angle of attack here. Palace have kept just one away clean sheet this season, that bizarrely came at the Etihad against Manchester City. They do have the firepower to score past a Millwall defence that have shipped goals in 9 of their 11 home games this term though.
