- Manchester United have conceded in 9/10 home league games this season.
Betting Tip: Both Teams to Score
There’s been plenty of misery at Manchester United this season and it’s fair to say the Ralf Rangnick experiment isn’t working out as of yet. There’s not been much joined up thinking in the recruitment department and it’s meant the Red Devils have failed to be serious title challengers for a while now.
That being said this cup could provide a welcome respite from the league but they’ll have to be bang at it to beat this Aston Villa side who have been very competitive since Steven Gerrard came in as manager.
Villa and Gerrard will have to do without both Bertrand Traore and Trezeguet who are at the Africa Cup of Nations but there’s decent depth in forward areas for the visitors and it looks like they’re close to adding Phillipe Coutinho to the ranks which would be a major statement of intent.
With United struggling to keep clean sheets at Old Trafford and Villa scoring in 7 of 8 games under Gerrard it’s the 4/5 on both teams to score that makes the most appeal here.
