Sheffield United to win

A huge clash in the race for play-off positions as seventh placed Sheffield United take on Nottingham Forest, who are two places and two points beneath the Blades. Sheffield United had been on nine-match unbeaten run until they lost to Millwall 1-0 at The Den last weekend. In addition, Paul Heckingbottom’s team had kept five successive clean sheets until last weekend’s defeat. Forest have made headlines in the FA Cup recently by knocking out Arsenal and Leicester City, however, their league form hasn’t matched their thriving cup form. Steve Cooper’s side have only won once in their previous three and have cooled off in the league at a time when their play-off rivals have picked up points. We believe that Sheffield United will pick up the win on Friday night and propel themselves back into the play-off positions before their rivals play on the weekend.

Huddersfield -1 Handicap

Huddersfield host bottom club Peterborough on Friday night and are looking to extend their unbeaten run in the Championship to 16 games. The Terriers currently sit third in the Championship, two points behind Bournemouth (although The Cherries have four games in hand over Huddersfield) and will be looking to move into the automatic play-off positions with a win. Peterborough come into this game after losing 2-0 to Premier League champions Manchester City in the cup midweek. The Posh are on an 11-game winless streak in the league and will need to turn this form around if they are to stay in the second division this season. We think that Huddersfield will win comfortably on Friday night, as they'll be fresher and will hand Peterborough to their four consecutive defeats in the Championship.

Mansfield vs Exeter - Both Teams to Score - No

Two of League Two’s most in-form sides face one another at the One Call Stadium on Friday night. Mansfield are undefeated in 13 league games and currently occupy the final play-off position, two points behind opponents Exeter who sit in 4th. The visitors are unbeaten in the league since New Year’s Day and will be looking to grab a victory that will push them up into the automatic play-off places. Ten points currently separate 2nd and 10th as we enter the final quarter of the season, so points on the board are imperative for both sides. We have gone for both teams to score no to reflect what we think will be a game of fine margins.
