Manchester City vs Manchester United Tips
Betting Tip: Manchester United +1.5 Asian Handicap & Under 2.5 Goals
The Manchester Derby takes centre stage on Super Sunday as Manchester United look to continue their surprisingly strong record at the Etihad stadium.
United have won on their last three visits to their near neighbours and their contain and counter approach has been something Pep Guardiola has struggled to deal with. Oddly, Guardiola has a strong record at Old Trafford so it’s clearly a meeting that has tended to favour the away side.
Should the hosts be as short as 1/3 in this match then? It does look awfully skinny considering the Red Devils have hardly lost a game under Ralf Rangnick as well as that strong head to head record.
United have been performing as a top-four side on the performance data under Rangnick and ultimately he has done a decent job, despite what some media will tell you. They have match-winners in their squad too so it would be silly to completely rule out the outsiders here.
City have struggled to blow away the top sides in the league this season and they could struggle to justify their price here and I’m happy to take them away side with a +1.5 start on the Asian handicap at 3/4. Here we would profit if United win, draw or even lose by one goal.
Under 2.5 goals also looks a touch too big at 11/8 given how stringent both sides have largely been at the back in recent times. 11/8 is an attractive quote.
