Porto v Lyon - Both teams to score

Porto host Lyon at the Estadio Do Dragao for the first leg of their Europa League round of 16 tie early Wednesday evening. Since being knocked out of the Champions League in December, the Portuguese side have gone on an 18-game unbeaten run in all competitions, including knocking out Italian side Lazio in the previous round of the tournament. An underwhelming league campaign finds opponents Lyon sitting in ninth, 19 points behind leaders PSG. Nonetheless, their Europa League form this season has been their highlight (5 wins, 1 draw, 0 defeats) and will looking to go all the way in this season’s competition. We believe that this will be an end-to-end game with both sides hitting the back of the net.

Man City to win to nil

Manchester City have a comfortable 5-0 lead over opposition Sporting Lisbon and there is no doubt that Pep's men will qualify into the next round of the Champions League. Guardiola will be keen to keep up their strong momentum despite the score line, so should put out a relatively strong side. Sporting are more known for their defensive prowess than their goal scoring ability in Primeira Liga, with Amorim's men boasting the best defense in the league but are someway off rivals Porto and Benfica in the goals department having scored 49 goals compared to 63 and 65 respectively. We expect it to be a pretty routine night for Man City and should be a comfortable victory.

PSG to win

It was an intirguing first leg clash between PSG and Real Madrid at the Parc Des Princes and Poch's side eventually managed to make their dominance pay, winning in stoppage time thanks to Kylian Mbappe. It's safe to say that the return leg will take on a different complexion with the onus on Real to attack. We expect that to play into PSG's hands, with their front three relishing the extra space in attacking areas. PSG's defense were impressive last time these sides met, limiting Real's front line to just three shots on goal none of which were on target. There remains a question mark over Mbappe's fitness but PSG boast incredible strength in depth and we expect them to put together a counter-attacking performance to bag the win.
