Plymouth to beat Accrington

Plymouth have coped better than expected since the departure of manager Ryan Lowe to Preston and they still remain in the play-off positions. However, the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Wycombe and even an improving Ipswich are putting the pressure firmly on them so wins remain imperative for the Pilgrims. They’ll fancy their chances of recording a victory against poor travellers Accrington who have the long trek down to Devon on the back of five away defeats in their last six.

MK Dons to beat Cambridge

Cambridge manager Mark Bonner deserves immense credit for what he’s achieved with Cambridge but looking at the underlying data they have rode their luck this season to sit in 15th place. MK Dons have been exceptional away from home under Liam Manning, in fact they’ve won 10 of their last 13 road trips and should have too much quality for a declining Amber army.

Wigan to beat Morecambe

Wigan know MK Dons are just three points behind them so they will be very cautious of slipping up in games against the likes of Morecambe. Derek Adams is yet to get a win since returning to the club and the Shrimps were embarrassed at Shrewsbury midweek, losing 5-0 against a side that struggle to find the net. Wigan have a strong record against the bottom half and can continue that at the DW on Saturday.

Salford to beat Scunthorpe

Scunthorpe look resigned to relegation this season and the bright start Keith Hill had has dissipated and the Iron are 10 points adrift of safety. They’ve lost 12 of their last 15 games and it’s a really poor squad. Salford have a couple of games in hand on teams around them and Gary Bowyer will be aware his troops have an outside shot at the play offs but draws aren’t good enough, they need wins and this should be a fairly routine one.
