Sheffield Wednesday to beat Cheltenham

Sheffield Wednesday are bang in a play-off fight with a fair few other clubs so Darren Moore will be keen to get back to winning ways after a couple of draws. At Hillsborough, his side have been largely excellent with seven wins in their last nine and they can enhance that home form with a win against mid-table Cheltenham who may find motivation hard to come by as well as being fatigued from a midweek away loss to Plymouth.

Harrogate to beat Scunthorpe

Scunthorpe are on a shockingly poor run and their fate is all but sealed already with relegation to non-league a matter of when not if. I’m happy to take them on every game until the end of the season and you’ll rarely get odds-against quotes about their opponents to pick up all three points. Admittedly, Harrogate have tailed off after a strong start to the season and the midweek loss to Leyton Orient was unacceptable. Simon Weaver laid down the gauntlet to his players saying none are safe from new contracts for next season so expect a response from the Yorkshire side.

15:00 Saturday

Port Vale to beat Sutton

Two sides battling it out for promotion in an incredibly tight top of League Two meet at Vale Park on Saturday but I’m banking on the hosts to come out with all three points. Vale are one of the form teams in the league with just a single defeat in their last 14 encounters. They’ve been excellent at home all season and can take advantage of a Sutton side who have had plenty of travelling in the past few weeks, they look aside to get against after a gruelling schedule.

15:00 Saturday

Leyton Orient to beat Barrow

The good times seem to be back for Leyton Orient with consecutive wins for the first time since September. They were excellent at Harrogate midweek, scoring thrice after also putting three past Rochdale last weekend. Richie Wellens seems to be getting the buy in from his players after things went stale under Kenny Jackett and they can put this poor Barrow side to the sword in what should be a bumper home crowd at Brisbane Road.
