Liverpool to beat Benfica 

Liverpool drew a plum tie for the Champions League quarter-finals against probably the weakest remaining opponent in the competition in Benfica. The Portuguese side sneaked past Ajax despite being under the cosh for the majority of time in Amsterdam. Liverpool have gone to much tougher venues and won on the road in Europe and they’ll be confident of taking an advantage into the second leg at Anfield.

Oxford to beat Morecambe

Oxford suffered a rare defeat at Plymouth on Saturday but Home Park is a real fortress this season with the Pilgrims winning a large majority of their home games. Karl Robinson’s side should be able to get back to winning ways at Morecambe on Tuesday though, there’s a clear gap in quality between the sides, especially at the top of the pitch and Morecambe we’re struggling for results before this weekend.

Wigan to beat Accrington

Wigan are another side hoping to get back to winning ways after a late equaliser from Bolton saw their promotion charge slightly halted. Liam Richardson will see this home game against poor travellers Accrington as a winnable clash and the odds on offer for the Latics reflect that. They rarely concede more than one goal and with Stanley shipping 2 or more goals in 5 of their last 7 away trips.

MK Dons are hot on the heels of Wigan and furthered their fine form with a comfortable home win over in form Shrewsbury on Saturday. Liam Manning has done an exceptional job since coming in at Stadium MK and he’s managing to control expectations very well which is a positive when avoiding potential banana skins like lowly Crewe at home.
