Wigan to beat Burton

The home side head into this one as champions-elect and they know that a win should place a hypothetical hand on the trophy. They currently lead second-place MK Dons by three points despite having played two games less and they lead third-place Rotherham by six points. Their form is near impeccable, amassing 13 points from a maximum of 15 available in their last five games. Burton are pretty much safe for another season so we can’t see anything other than a victory for the league leaders.

Villarreal to qualify

The Spanish side really threw a spanner in the works when they took it to Bayern in the first leg last week however Emery and co will know that facing this Bayern side at the Allianz arena is a different proposition altogether. The Spaniards have won their last three on the road in this season’s competition and I reckon if they can get through the first 20 mins without conceding they could pull off one of the biggest upsets in recent times.

What more needs to be said about this man? Arguably the most in-form player in world football at present and finally it seems he’s getting the respect he deserves after being in Ronaldo’s shadow for some time. He was a class above in the first leg notching up a hat trick and he is likely to cause problems for a shaky Chelsea defence once again. Like all world-class strikers, he always finds himself in the right place at the right time and this game should be no different.
