Sampdoria to beat Salernitana

The hosts sit just two places above the relegation zone after losing five of their last six outings. But this fixture against bottom side Salernitana could be the perfect game to get things back on track. The visitors look a beaten side and are resigned to relegation, largely due to how poor they’ve been defensively - conceding 36 goals across their 15 road games and failing to keep a clean sheet in any of their last 24 matches! Sampdoria should have enough firepower to get the job done against a demoralised Salernitana.

Mainz to beat Stuttgart

Mainz were the better side in their last game away to Koln but surrendered a 2-0 lead to end up losing 3-2 in what was a thrilling match. However, Stuttgart are not on the same level and now Mainz returns to the Mewa Arena. The hosts boast the fourth-best home record in the Bundesliga, losing just two of their 14 home games all season and conceding just eight goals. Stuttgart, however, have struggled on their travels, earning just one solitary away win and this has contributed to them sitting just a point above the relegation playoff place. Mainz should be able to claim the spoils here at a healthy price.

Borussia Dortmund to beat Wolfsburg

The hosts look set to finish as runners up for the sixth time in the last decade but they won’t down tools just yet as they welcome a Wolfsburg side who they’ve beaten in 12 of the last 13 meetings. Marco Rose’s side have kept five clean sheets across their last eight matches whereas Wolfsburg are conceding nearly two goals on average per away game and they know that if they can pick up a couple more points then they’re more than likely safe. This might not be a match that they expect any points from considering that only Bayern Munich have scored more goals on home soil than Dortmund. ‘BVB’ will want to finish this season off in a positive manner and so expect another head-to-head victory for the hosts.

Elche to beat Mallorca

This will be a close encounter but Mallorca have been utterly horrific on the road this season, losing all of their last seven away fixtures and have kept just one solitary clean sheet in 15 away matches this campaign. The visitors are conceding over two goals per away game on average and have conceded the first goal in seven of their last eight outings. They secured a shock home win over Atletico Madrid last time out but I don’t trust them to follow that up with a win or even draw here. Elche have never lost at home to Mallorca and their price is too high for me. A win would put some daylight between the hosts and the relegation zone and I quite like Francisco’s side to edge this clash at the bottom of La Liga.
