Thursday night’s Premier League action sees Burnley host Southampton in what is a must-win game for the Clarets. A crucial point against West Ham last time out sees Burnley three points behind Everton in their bid for survival having played one more game than the Toffees. Southampton stunned the Gunners last time out to take all three points. With just their League position still to play for they should play with a degree of freedom at Turf Moor. In contrast, Burnley are fighting for survival and all three points will be the aim for Mike Jackson’s side. We expect Burnley to come out with a little more attacking intent which may leave them a little more vulnerable at the back. The last time these two sides met in the league finished 2-2 and we can see a similarly high scoring fixture unfolding this time around.

Barcelona have endured a nightmare seven days, after crashing out of the Europa League at the hands of Frankfurt last Thursday they suffered a 1-0 defeat to relegation threatened Cadiz ending an impressive unbeaten run for the Catalan side. Xavi’s side will travel to the Reale Arena hoping to get back on track but will face a Sociedad side who still have plenty to play for as they look to jump into fifth with Champions League football not completely out of the question for next season. With this match poised on a knife edge and both failing to score in their last fixtures we can see a low scoring fixture playing out.

Despite managing to take all three points from their last match against Barcelona, Cadiz aren’t renowned for their goalscoring prowess and have the second lowest tally in La Liga this season. Athletic Club aren’t firing of late either having scored just four in their last five and likely find themselves too far adrift to challenge for a European spot for next season. While Cadiz will be keen to take all three points in their bid for survival, Sergio González will know that even a point could be crucial at this late stage in the season.
