Deportivo Alaves to beat Espanyol

It’s now or never for hosts Deportivo Alaves if they want to pull off a miracle and avoid relegation. They currently sit bottom of the table but with Levante and Mallorca both facing tough trips away to Real Madrid and Sevilla respectively, the hosts will see this as an opportunity to climb off the foot of the table. Espanyol have been dreadful on the road and have won just one of their 17 away league matches this season. However, the visitors are almost safe and are unlikely to get dragged back into the relegation scrap.

Sevilla to beat Mallorca

The hosts come into this one occupying third spot in the table but Atletico Madrid are just a point behind them in the table. Champions League qualification is almost in their grasp but they can ill-afford any slip-ups and they’ll be keen to secure another victory against relegation candidates Mallorca. The visitors were destroyed 6-2 on home soil by Granada at the weekend and it’s hard to look past anything but a home victory here.

Chelsea to beat Leeds United

Chelsea have hit a rocky patch lately, but that’s nothing compared to Leeds United who are now staring down the barrel. The ‘Whites’ have been woeful when welcoming top-six opposition to Elland Road, conceding at least three times in all five of those games and they are now without key defender Luke Ayling following his red card at Arsenal last time out. Thomas Tuchel’s men have a cup final to look forward to but they’ll be keen to put in a solid performance here as preparation.

Leicester City to beat Norwich City

The hosts have had a disappointing couple of weeks that includes two Premier League losses and a Europa Conference League semi-final defeat to Roma. However, the ‘Foxes’ have not lost three successive league games since February 2019 and they’ll fancy their chances of returning to winning ways against already relegated Norwich City. The ‘Canaries’ have nothing else to play for, have lost all of their last four games and haven’t scored in their last three. Brendan Rodger’s side should find a way of securing victory.
