Matchbook have boosted the odds to 6/1 exclusively on oddschecker for both teams to score in each of the Thursday Premier League matches - Everton vs Crystal Palace, Aston Villa vs Burnley and Chelsea vs Leicester. 

Everton vs Crystal Palace

Everton need goals to secure their Premier League survival on Thursday. Whether or not you think they will do enough to win the match, their spirited showing at Brentford suggests they should at least get on the scoresheet once.

However, Frank Lampard must navigate a plethora of potential problems, increasing the chances of Palace finding some joy themselves on the attacking front. 

Both Salomon Rondon and Jarrad Branthwaite are suspended, while Yerry Mina, Andros Townsend, Fabian Delph, Ben Godfrey and Donny van de Beek are all injured.

Patrick Viera’s side are in a tight group between 9th and 14th, and the difference between those positions - despite being minimal in terms of points - could be the difference between this season being judged as a success or a failure.

Aston Villa vs Burnley

Burnley are hardly free scoring, but Mike Jackson’s side have to get something from the game if they are to go into the final day against Newcastle with their destiny in their own hands. 

The last two Premier League meetings between these two sides have yielded nine goals, including a 3-1 win for Aston Villa at Turf Moor less than two weeks ago when Danny Ings, Emi Buendia and Ollie Watkins were all on the scoresheet for the visitors. 

Like Palace, Villa fall into that tightly congested middle pack (currently 14th) and could climb as many as five places with two fins to finish – albeit they face City at the Etihad on Sunday. 

Steven Gerrard was frustrated with his side’s wastefulness against Palace last time out and will be expecting goals in his side’s final Villa Park outing. 

Chelsea vs Leicester

Chelsea have a reputation for being tight at the back, particularly at Stamford Bridge, but recent history suggests otherwise as they have shipped four against Brentford, four against Wolves and two late goals against shot shy Wolves – all since the start of April.

However, they have only failed to score once in 17 home league matches so far, scoring 34 times, with the solitary blank coming against Manchester City (0-1) back in September.

Leicester, meanwhile, cannot catch West Ham for the final European place but would overhaul Wolves in 8th place should Wolves, as expected, lose at Anfield and the Foxes win one of their remaining two matches against Chelsea and Southampton.

Having returned from injury to score twice against both Norwich and Watford, 35-year-old Jamie Vardy goes into the match with the best goals per game record of any player in the league.
