oddschecker have picked out an 8/1 Saturday treble covering the League Two and National League Playoffs as well as the Champions League Final.
Wrexham to win vs Grimsby
Wrexham A.F.C take part in the playoffs after a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Bromley in the FA Trophy. Phil Parkinson’s men look the team to beat and will fancy their chances against Grimsby. Wrexham had the second best home form in the National League and only picked up one loss in the league all season.
Mansfield to win vs Port Vale
Nigel Clough guided his Mansfield side to a seventh place finish in League Two and faced the daunting task of Northampton Town in the playoff semi-finals. There were times during the two legs when Northampton had their moments, but as soon Mansfield opened up an early two-goal advantage in the opening fixture, they generally controlled the tie. They face a Port Vale side that aren’t particularly prolific, with their last three wins all 1-0 victories. We are going to go with Mansfield to win here because of their momentum and overall consistency since January.
Liverpool to win vs Real Madrid
The showpiece European fixture of the season will take place in Paris on Saturday and both of these team are European giants in their own rights. Football can be a cruel game as Liverpool narrowly missed out on a historic quadruple as Manchester City secured a remarkable 3-2 victory over Aston Villa on the final day of the season. Klopp’s men picked up some injuries in their final day push with Thiago picking up a hamstring issue but Fabinho is reported to be able to start against his former club.
Real Madrid have a clean bill of health for this game with David Alaba set to return after picking up a knock, meaning Nacho Fernandez will likely be demoted to the bench. Madrid have ridden their luck throughout their European campaign with stunning comeback wins against PSG, Chelsea and Manchester City. Ancelotti's side have the experience to win this game but Liverpool’s fire power is unlike anyone else’s in Europe and we think the Reds should win this one.
