England vs Sweden - Under 2.5 Goals

England march on to the semi-finals of the European Championships after a thrilling end to their quarter final clash with Spain. England had it all to do after falling behind but an Ella Toone goal in the 84th minute forced the game into extra time and kept England’s Euro dreams alive. With the game poised on a knife edge, Georgia Stanway stepped up to rifle the ball into the top corner from 20 yards out.

It was the first time in the competition that England found themselves on the ropes having breezed through the group stages scoring 14 goals without conceding. Sarina Wiegman's side showed plenty of character to come back from a goal down under immense pressure and England will take lots of confidence into the semi-final. 

With that being said, the Lionesses face a stern test against a Sweden team who have barely put a foot wrong all tournament. On paper, Sweden are the weakest side left in the tournament at odds of 6/1 to lift the trophy but they’ve shown they belong on the biggest stage conceding just three all tournament and keeping a crucial clean sheet against a strong Belgian side.

Wiegman will be keen not to fall behind again and we expect the Lionesses to take a ‘safety first’ approach to proceedings on Wednesday night. While England are the rightful favourites and should expect to progress to the final we are anticipating a nervy, low-scoring match.

Germany vs France - Germany to win to nil

Germany have been hugely impressive since they kicked off their Euros campaign with a 3-0 win over Finland. Since then they’ve eased past Spain, put four past Denmark and seven past Switzerland before comfortably beating Austria in the quarter finals.

Next up for Martina Voss-Tecklenburg’s side is France who are currently a best price of 3/1 to lift the trophy. It’s been a professional if not blemish free campaign for Wendie Renard’s team scoring nine and conceding three on their way to the semi-finals.

Germany promises to be this French team's toughest test yet and given they’ve shipped goals against some of the weaker sides in the competition we expect Germany to take advantage. One of the most impressive aspects of Germany’s journey to the final has been there ability to attack with intent will maintaining a solid defensive line. 

We expect this trend to continue and we are backing Germany to win to nil to set up what would be a memorable European final clash with England.
