Jesus 1+ shots on target against Crystal Palace

Arsenal's new Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus played 1,880 league minutes for Manchester City last season, equating to just over 20 matches. According to data taken from WhoScored.com, he registered 25 shots on target (only Kevin de Bruyne and Raheem Sterling from Manchester City had more) from 64 total shots, with 19 off target and 20 blocked.

When you consider he has scored seven goals in four friendlies, including a hat-trick against Sevilla last time out, this Paddy Power boost from 4/11 to Evens is one not to miss.

Over 0.5 goals in every Premier League game in August

In the 2021/22 Premier League season, this bet would have only failed because of one single goalless draw between Crystal Palace and Brentford in Gameweek 2 - a match which saw both Palace's Conor Gallagher and the Bees' Bryan Mbeumo hit the bar. Added to that, the opportunity for clubs to make five substitutes should mean more fresh legs in attacking areas towards the end of matches.

The one drawback to comparisons with last season is that August this year will feature fixtures from nearly five full gameweeks (just three in 2021/22). On the more positive side, the opening weekend a year ago featured an average of 3.4 goals per game

Jesus, Mane & Lacazette all to score on Friday

Everyone likes backing a debut goal, so we've been drawn to this 63% boost on William Hill (7/1 to 12/1). We've talked about Jesus' fine start to life in North London (albeit pre-season so far), but what about the number nine he replaced?

Alexandre Lacazette has, of course, returned to Lyon and will make his second debut for his home town club tonight against newly promoted Ajaccio. Lacazette plundered 100 league goals in his first stint at Lyon, including 76 goals in 97 appearances in the last three seasons.

Sadio Mane, meanwhile, has moved to Bayern Munich from Liverpool, having scored 90 Premier League goals for the Reds (and 120 in all competitions) in six seasons. The Senegalese forward netted his first for Bayern in last weekend's DFL-Supercup win over RB Leipzig and starts his first league campaign for the German giants away at Europa League champions Eintracht Frankfurt.
