Chelsea to beat Leeds

There’s a general feeling of uncertainty among fans around Chelsea this season, and no one’s too sure how they’ll cope in the early stages of their new era.

But despite being robbed of a win against Spurs last week, the performance revealed that many football fans may just need to rethink their dismissive approach to the Blues.

Leeds remain unbeaten after two games but this will be their first real test. The constant presence of Reece James down the right flank, and Cucurella’s desire to start and join the attack could make it a defensive marathon for the Whites, but the Blues are bound to break through at least once.

West Ham vs Brighton – BTTS

This fixture on the last day of the season saw both teams find the net, but the Seagulls came out on top with a 3-1 victory. So far, the Hammers are yet to score in the Premier League, but after getting over that barrier midweek against Viborg in Europe, and with the London Stadium faithful in full song it’s hard not to see West Ham getting off the mark.

Brighton on the other hand relish an away challenge. Scoring two at Old Trafford immediately springs to mind, but this was a strong theme of Potter’s side last season; they only failed to score in four away matches out of 19.

Even if it’s not enough for the win, the Hove have the finesse and tactical nous to get on the scoresheet nonetheless.

Man City to beat Newcastle & KDB to score

Over the years this fixture has never been short of goals – 27 goals across the last six Premier League meetings, with 22 coming from Pep’s outfit.

It’s true that Newcastle are a different story from 2020, but when Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Braut Haaland line up against you, the difference in quality becomes more apparent than ever.

Despite the Magpies’ new look, the unmatched level at the top of the pitch will surely see City rampant at a ground they’ve had much joy at.

One of those who often turns up with a performance at St James’ Park is Mr De Bruyne, and it seems he’s hitting form at the right time to possibly hit another contender for goal of the season in the North-East. Some of you may remember a certain volley pinging off the underside of the bar two years ago. 

A goal and assist against the Cherries last week will the Belgian playmaker raring for more, so a convincing Man City win will most likely have KDB amongst the action – let’s hope with a goal.
