Brentford to beat Everton

No team picked up fewer points on the road in the Premier League last season than Everton, who showed little sign of repairing their away woes in defeat at Aston Villa - their only away outing so far. They scored just 16 times in 19 away matches last season (only Norwich with 11 scored less), while only Southampton (43) shipped more than the Toffees' 41. 

By contrast, the Bees whipped up some stirring performances at the Brentford Community Stadium, including a 3-3 draw with Liverpool, and showed similar attacking poise in dispatching Erik ten Hag's Manchester United 4-0 in their only home game so far this term. We can only see a home win.

Brighton to beat Leeds

Leeds have attracted widespread praise for their performances across the first three weeks of the season, but arguably the Seagulls have been even better. Added to that, Graham Potter’s Brighton have been something of a bogey team for Leeds – since he took charge, the four matches between the two sides have yielded two Brighton wins and two draws with Leeds scoring just once.

After three games, only Arsenal (2.0) and Liverpool (2.3) have had fewer expected goals conceded than Brighton’s 2.5. In fact, the only time Brighton keeper Robert Sanchez has been beaten in three games was a scrappy Alexis Mac Allister own goal at Old Trafford.

Chelsea vs Leicester – Both Teams to Score 

We’re not entirely sold on taking Chelsea in the 1x2 market given the short price and the Blues’ performance at Leeds last time out, but the value appears to be with both teams scoring. After three gameweeks, no team has conceded more big chances than Leicester’s 10. The only teams level on 10 are West Ham and Newcastle – two teams that have faced Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City. 

However, Leicester have scored on their last four visits to Stamford Bridge and managed two goals in their second game against an Arsenal team that hasn’t looked like conceding in their other two. The Blues will be without the suspended Kalidou Koulibaly, while their pursuit of Wesley Fofana suggests Thomas Tuchel is unhappy with the defensive options available to him.
