Middlesbrough vs Sunderland – Over 2.5 Goals

Middlesbrough head into the first Tees-Wear derby with Sunderland looking for the victory that can kick-start their season.

There was high expectations on Chris Wilder’s Middlesbrough at the start of the year and so far they have failed to deliver with having claimed only one victory and three draws leaving them with only six points from their first seven games. In that time they have seen over 2.5 goals in all but one of their league games.

Sunderland will be happy with how their campaign have started having collected 11 points so far and despite Alex Neil leaving for Championship rivals Stoke will feel confident with current manager Tony Mowbray at the helm after a 3-0 victory against Rotherham. Sunderland have seen over 2.5 goals in four league games so far and this certainly has all the ingredients to the Tees-Wear classic.

Torino vs Lecce – Under 2.5 goals

Torino have made a nice start to Serie A having claimed seven points from their first four fixtures and face a newly promoted side in Lecce who are yet to claim victory in Serie A.

Torino only wins so far have come against newly promoted pair Monza and Cremonese - beating both away from home by a 2-1 scoreline and Ivan Juric will be hoping the same result can happen on Monday.

The loss of Andrea Belotti to Roma has certainly blunted Torino with them only scoring five goals so far this season and they face a Lecce side that has only conceded five goals as well.

This game has all the hallmarks of a scoreless draw or a 1-0 victory for either side and because of this, we are going to go with the under 2.5 goals angle.

Valladolid vs Almeria – Both Teams to Score

Almeria are coming of an impressive 2-1 victory against Sevilla, whilst Real Valladolid will be looking to claim their first victory of the 2022/23 on Monday.

Almeria have looked impressive so far this season having claimed four points from their first three games and their only loss was 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid. Almeria have seen both teams score in all three of their games so far.

Real Valladolid have had a harder start to their La Liga campaign having faced Villarreal, Sevilla and Barcelona so far and will certainly see this game as an opportunity to get their first three points of the season.
