Brentford vs Arsenal Stats

  •  Arsenal have been fouled 11 or more times in five of their six league matches this term.
  • Brentford have hit at least four shots on target in each of their three home league games.
  • The hosts have lost just one of their last eight league outings on home soil (W5, D2).

Brentford vs Arsenal City Betting Tips

Betting Tip: Brentford Over 10.5 Fouls Committed

I’m going for two prop picks in this Sunday afternoon clash at the Brentford Community Stadium. Firstly, I like the look of Thomas Frank’s side to commit at least 11 fouls in the game overall. It landed in this exact fixture last season and Arsenal are the most fouled side in the league, being fouled 12.7 times per match on average this season.

This will be competitive and write Brentford off at your peril. The hosts have been exceptional on home soil and will look to press Arsenal and make life difficult for them. They have a great record at home in London derby games having won 17 of their last 22 such fixtures.

The forward line of Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are the most fouled players for Arsenal and they will likely all be deployed by Mikel Arteta. I’m expecting Arsenal to have their moments to run into space which should result in plenty of fouls from the hosts in an effort to prevent the Gunners breaking forward.

I’d have this line at 11.5 and so I'll take the lower count at 10/11.

Betting Tip: Brentford Over 3.5 Shots on Target

My second pick is on the hosts to register at least four shots on target. As I previously mentioned, Brentford have been quite impressive at home and have beaten this line in all three of their league matches on home soil so far this term.

Ivan Toney is in exceptional form and has hit at least two shots in six of his seven appearances this season. He will be flying high after scoring a hat-trick in his last match and being named in the England squad for the upcoming internationals. He can contribute to the count in this one but Brentford have plenty of excellent attacking options.

Arsenal have had plenty of time to prepare after their midweek match against PSV Eindhoven was postponed and it’s given them some time to mull over their 3-1 loss away to Manchester United last time out. They conceded six shots on target in that one away from home and they will have another difficult time here.

Even Bournemouth, who’ve been extremely poor, were able to register two on target against the Gunners and I like the evens on Brentford to have four or more efforts on target.
