The oddschecker team have picked out a 9/1 Monday treble covering action in the Premier League, Serie A and Ligue 2.
Leicester City vs Nottingham Forest – Leicester City
Steve Cooper’s Forest visit the King Power stadium in Monday night's Midlands derby. The newly promoted team have had a rough start to their Premier League season, losing five of their first seven and sitting 19th in the league. They have been good going forward this year but have leaked goals too often, being outscored more often than not.
The Foxes have also had a really poor start to the season and Brendan Rodgers is reportedly at risk of losing his job (9/4 in the next manager to leave market). The 2016 Premier League champions sit rock bottom of the league and remain the only team not to have won a single game. Despite this we think they have too much quality in the likes of James Maddison to not score and we think they’ll outscore their guests. Leicester to win this one by a hair.
Verona vs Udinese – Udinese
Udinese are the clear favourites for this one; they sit 5th in the league and are set to challenge for European places this year. Whereas Verona are currently 18th in the league and will be fighting for survival, Udinese have been flying going forward and Verona have the third worst defensive record in the league, so we think it is just a matter of how many Udinese will win by.
Laval vs Bordeaux – Bordeaux
Bordeaux have got off to a good start in Ligue 2, winning five of their first nine and are currently only three points off 1st. They will be fighting at the top end of the table this year and will be expecting to win promotion back to Ligue 1 as soon as possible. They have been pretty solid defensively too, keeping five clean sheets so far this season.
They visit Laval, who are sitting 13th in the league, only two points off the bottom. They have won three of their opening games and lost five. They lost four on the bounce before beating Quevilly-Rouen 3-1 in their last match and they will be looking to build on that result when Bordeaux visit. However, we think Bordeaux will have a bit too much quality for them and will come out as easy winners in this one.
