Bayern Munich vs Viktoria Plzen – Bayern & BTTS No

Bayern haven’t had the start to the season they would have liked, with three draws and only four wins in their first eight games. They have had to adjust to life without Robert Lewandowski who has moved to the Camp Nou this summer and new signing Sadio Mane has fit in well to replace him.

Although they haven’t been winning every game, the ones they have won they have won easily scoring four or more goals five times already. They have also started their Champions League campaign off well, beating both Inter Milan and Barcelona 2-0.

Viktoria Plzen have been very good in the Czech Fortuna League so far, with seven wins out of nine and are the only team yet to lose a game. They sit top of the league with a game in hand and are on course to retain their league title.

Their fortune in the Champions League has been slightly different, they were battered 5-1 at the Camp Nou and beaten 2-0 at home to Inter in their last game. On their visit to the Allianz, we expect more of the same. Bayern look like the strongest team in the group so we expect an easy Bayern win and can’t see Viktoria Plzen scoring.

Inter Milan vs Barcelona – Barcelona & BTTS

Xavi’s Barcelona visit the San Siro in a game that could determine the outcome of the group. Both teams have won vs Viktoria Plzen and lost to Bayern so the winner of this game could be the team who go on to progress to the knockouts.

Barcelona look like the stronger team coming into this game, they are currently top of La Liga and are yet to lose a game. Whilst Inter have had a slow start to the season and sit mid table with four wins and four losses to their name.

We expect a tight game between the two European giants but think Barcelona are the better team between the two and come into the game in much better much. Add a free scoring Lewandowski to the mix and Barcelona look like the easy choice here. We think Inter have quality though, so Barcelona to win and both teams to score is the play here.

Liverpool vs Rangers – Liverpool & BTTS

Liverpool have had a poor start to the season and have had another poor result at the weekend, with a 3-3 draw with Brighton at home. They currently sit 9th in the league and have only kept two clean sheets in all competitions so far. We expect this to continue when Rangers visit Anfield as it seems the Reds can’t buy a clean sheet this year.

Rangers have had a decent start to the season and currently sit 2nd in the league behind archrivals Celtic. Unfortunately, they haven’t had a good start in the Champions League and sit bottom of the group.

Although they have had a good start to the league season, we expect their Champions League form to continue. We think Liverpool have to much quality for the Glaswegians, but we think they will put up a good fight and will get their first Champions League goal this season at Anfield. Liverpool to win and both teams to score is the choice for this one.
