Arsenal vs Liverpool Tips

Betting Tip: Arsenal most cards

I’ll be going into the card markets here as I believe the 13/10 on Arsenal to receive the most cards is a great price.

Ahead of this round, only Manchester City have received fewer cards than Liverpool and it’s hardly surprising. They’re used to dominating possession and don’t play in an aggressive manner and instead draw their opponents onto them to exploit the space left behind through quick passing.

All three of Liverpool’s away league matches have seen their opponents receive at least two cards and two of those games saw their opponents receive the most cards. Meanwhile, Arsenal have received at least two cards in three of their four home matches.

Arsenal have been flying but many are doubting their long-term title credentials. Getting a result here would do a lot to silence the doubters and would be some statement so I'm expecting the hosts to be fired up ahead of this clash.

Michael Oliver is the man with the whistle and six of the last seven games he has officiated has seen the hosts win the card count. The only one it didn’t was in the Manchester Derby as Manchester City (the side with the fewest cards in the EPL, dominated proceedings.

Betting Tip: Arsenal win & both teams to score

I mentioned above that many are doubting whether Arsenal can make a sustained title challenge. If they were to claim a win here it would be a huge statement, regardless of if Liverpool have players out injured.

The visitors are yet to win away from home this season and they’ve looked far more vulnerable than in recent campaigns. The Reds are still unable to call on the likes of Arthur, Naby Keita, Curtis Jones and Andrew Robertson remains a doubt. Jurgen Klopp's side have also conceded the opening goal in nine of their last 11 Premier League outings and if that was to happen once again here, they may not find it so easy to come back.

Arsenal to win and both teams to score has landed in every single one of their home league games so far this term. Mikel Arteta’s men currently have the momentum and you wouldn’t put it past them to edge past a Liverpool team that are still not firing on all cylinders.
