Man City vs Fulham – Man City 

Pep’s City could go top of the league this weekend, depending on Chelsea beating Arsenal, so he will be looking for his team to step up and put the pressure on the Gunners. They come into this game in shaky form for City, with three wins, a draw vs Dortmund and a loss vs Liverpool in their last five fixtures. 

They welcome a Fulham side who will be more than happy with their season so far. Most people had written the newly promoted side off, but the star striker Aleksandar Mitrovic has led the line well and they now sit pretty in 7th.

They have been in good form of late too. They have lost only once in their last five games and have looked like a well-drilled side. This being said, City are a different level compared to most and with the opportunity to jump to the top, we think they’ll capitalise and put on a clinical display. City to win this one pretty comfortably. 

QPR vs West Brom – QPR 

Michael Beale’s first season in charge of the hoops is going well. They sit 4th in the league and are well within the promotion mix this year. They have dropped off of form a little in the last two weeks with a loss to Birmingham and draw with Norwich but we expect them to bounce back against a struggling West Brom.

The Baggies are under new manager Carlos Corberan for this one after sacking Steve Bruce a few weeks back. Despite signing some quality Championship players in the summer, West Brom have really struggled this year so it was no surprise when Bruce was sacked.

They have only won three games all season but two of those came in the last five games, so they could be starting to turn their season around. Nevertheless, QPR are in good form and will be looking for a result to keep pressure on the top. Michael Beale’s men will win this one. 

Blackburn vs Huddersfield – Blackburn 

Blackburn are having a hot and cold season but are definitely in a hot patch currently. They have won four of their last five and sit 2nd in the league behind Burnley. They are the only team without a draw to their name still and have actually lost more games than 23rd placed West Brom. Their games can often swing either way and luckily for them, they have come out as the victor than the loser so far. 

They welcome Huddersfield who are rock bottom of the league. They have had a really poor season so far but remain within touching distance of safety so will take hope from the fact a few good results could lift them out of danger. They have lost three of their last five, winning one and we expect more of this. They visit an in form Blackburn so we can’t see anything other than a home win for this one.

Rotherham vs Norwich – Norwich 

Rotherham are the Championships yo-yo club but they seem to be safe so far this season. They sit 14th in the table but remain within only three points of relegation and seven points of the play-offs, so their season could go either way. However, they come into this game in poor form with three losses in their last five and they have really struggled defensively. 

They welcome Dean Smith’s Norwich who started the season really well but seen their league form dip of late. They remain well within the play-off mix but have only won one of their last five games, with a loss vs Luton a particular sour point. Despite this, they have one of the best squads in the league and can produce real quality on their day. We think Smith will get the best out of them on their visit up North and will get back to winning ways. Norwich to win this one.
