QPR vs Huddersfield – QPR

Both these teams come into this fixture in poor form, with Huddersfield especially struggling in recent weeks. They have lost three of their last five games and sit bottom of the league, six points off safety. They visit a QPR side who themselves are in poor form, but have been competing at the top end of the Championship all season.

They currently sit 5th in the league but are winless in three, so Michael Beale will be looking for a clinical display to keep pace at the top and keep their promotion hopes alive. We think they’ll do just that, so we predict a home win for this one.

Sheffield United vs Rotherham – Sheffield United

Paul Heckingbottom’s Sheffield United having been flying high in recent weeks and have the chance to go top, should they win their game in hand on those above them. They currently sit 3rd, three points off top and have won three games in a row after failing to pick up a win in their previous six.

The Blades are hitting form at the best possible time, right before the break for the World Cup, which is not good news for their visitors.

Rotherham visit Bramall Lane in extremely poor form. They have lost four of their last five games and have fallen to 17th in the table, only two points off the drop. In that time they have really struggled defensively, conceding 12 goals. They face a free scoring Sheffield United team, so we expect this trend to continue. A Sheffield United win is the play here.

Stoke vs Luton – Luton

Luton may be at risk of losing Nathan Jones to Southampton in the coming week, but he is sure to be in charge for their visit to Stoke. Jones has been impressive in his time at Luton and has kept them much higher up the table than many expected and even had them fighting for promotion last season.

He has them competing again this season, as they sit in 8th place, only two points off the play-offs with a game in hand on many of those above and they have only lost once in their last five fixtures.

They visit a Stoke side who have really been struggling this season. They have lost four of their last five and sit only two points off safety in 19th. With one team in good form and one in very poor form, we can only see one winner. Although this could very well be Jones’ last game with Luton, we think they’ll win it.
