The oddschecker team have picked out a 9/2 Thursday treble covering action in the EFL Cup, Serie A and La Liga.
17:30 Thursday
Verona v Juventus – Juventus win + Under 3.5 goals
Juventus take on basement boys Verona and will be hoping to make it five league wins on the bounce.
Massimiliano Allegri’s men walked away as 2-0 victors over Inter Milan but if you watched the game you’d be surprised they walked away with the three points.
Milan missed a host of chances but since the introduction of younger blood such as Nicolo Fagioli the Old Lady look re-energised.
Verona have struggled this season only picking up one win the whole campaign and are on average conceding two goals a game, whilst Juventus have conceded the least goals in Serie A with only seven being put past them because of this we have gone for Juventus win and under 3.5 goals.
18:00 Thursday
Rayo Vallecano v Celta Vigo – Rayo Vallecano
Ray Vallecano have been in fine form and picked up a crazy 3-2 win against Real Madrid last time out but they must now face their attention to lowly Celta Vigo.
Rayo are one of the most in-form sides in their last five La Liga games they have picked up 11 points from a possible 15, whilst Celta are winless in six La Liga games since Carlos Carvahal’s reign as manager has begun.
Rayo Vallecano have also won four of their last five home games and have previously won 10 of their previous 11 home matches against Celta in the top-flight. We fancy Rayo Vallecano to win at home against Celta Vigo again.
20:00 Thursday
Manchester United vs Aston Villa – Over 0.5 goals
Four days since putting the Red Devils to the sword Unai Emery men face them again but this time in the EFL Cup.
Emery will be more than pleased with his side after kicking off his reign at Villa park with a 3-1 win against Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United but knows his side will face a tough contest at Old Trafford on Thursday.
Both sides will be expected to make a host of changes to give players opportunities to play and coming back to Old Trafford will give the United defenders a bit of sweet relief with Manchester United keeping an impressive five clean sheets on the bounce at home, as well as winning each of their last three in front of their own fans in all tournaments.
We still think there will be a goal in this game with both managers wanting to progress further in the EFL Cup, so we are suggestion the over 0.5 goal market for this one.
