Tottenham v Aston Villa – Tottenham

Tottenham are the comeback kings it seems at the moment with Conte’s men putting in below par first half performances and somehow getting a result out of the game in the second half but they face an Aston Villa side who are yet to win away from home in the league again. 

Unai Emery has certainly restored some calm since taking the helm but a 3-1 loss against Liverpool would have been hard to stomach with his side wasting some good moments in the game. Conte will be looking for his team to respond and fight back and playing at home has been fairly steady for the Italian’s men.

We fancy Villa’s winless run away from Villa Park to continue and Spurs to pick up all three points in their hunt to claim a Champions League position.

Portsmouth vs Charlton – Portsmouth

Despite having 10 draws this season Portsmouth are only six points away from a playoff position and face a Charlton side who are at the wrong end of the table.

Dean Holden started his Charlton managerial career with a draw against Brighton in 90 minutes and a draw against Peterborough but faced a harsh reality on Thursday with a 3-1 loss to Oxford United.

Charlton have struggled away from home with their last league win coming way back in October and whilst Portsmouth have generally struggled to convert games into a win we fancy them to get all three points and stay in the playoff picture.

Grimsby vs Stockport County – Stockport County

Grimsby are currently on a two-game losing streak with both losses coming against Harrogate and Salford but generally they have been pretty solid this season but scoring goals have been an issue for the Mariners with them only scoring 25 goals this season.

Stockport come into the game on a three-game win streak and have been impressive on this run beating teams around a similar position to Grimsby in Walsall, Crewe Alexandra and Hartlepool.

We fancy Stockport to continue their winning ways with a win against Grimsby.
