The oddschecker team have picked out a 5/1 Thursday treble covering action from the Premier League and Copa Del Rey.
15:00 Thursday
Ibiza Islas Pitiusas vs Real Betis – Real Betis to win to nil
The first leg of our treble sees La Liga side Real Betis travel to Ibiza Islas Pitiusas who play in the Segunda Federación, the fourth tier of Spanish football.
With Betis currently competing in for the European spots in La Liga in 6th place we can’t see anything other than a Betis win. We also think Ibiza Islas Pitiusas won’t put up much of a fight at all against the La Liga outfit so we’re going to go with Betis to win to nil as the play for this one.
20:00 Thursday
Chelsea vs Man City – Man City
Graham Potter’s start to his tenure at the Bridge hasn’t gotten off to the easiest of starts and there are already some fans of the club calling for him to get the sack already.
However, with his record at Brighton supporting him, he looks set to be given time to truly stamp his style on his team and will be financially supported by the club’s new American owner.
They host a Man City side who are competing for the title this year and need every point they can muster to keep in touch with Arsenal. After the Gunner dropped two points vs Newcastle on Tuesday evening, Pep will see this as a chance to close the gap to five points.
City and Chelsea are competing at completely different levels this season and we think we’ll see that shine through when they play. Manchester City should win this one pretty easily and start to put pressure on Arsenal.
20:00 Thursday
Eldense vs Athletic Bilbao – Athletic Bilbao to win to nil
The final leg of our treble is another Copa Del Rey tie that involves another mismatch in competition. 5th place Athletic Bilbao travel to Eldense who compete in the Primera Federación, the third tier of Spanish football. Like Betis, Bilbao is competing for Europe this year and come into this game in decent form.
Although they play in a higher league than Ibiza Islas Pitiusas. We can see the same result happening for Eldense in this one. The La Liga outfit will surely have too much for the third-division side so we’re going to go with another win to nil in favour of Athletic Bilbao.
