The oddschecker team have picked out a 7/1 Monday treble covering action from League One, Serie A and La Liga.
20:00 Monday
Port Vale vs Peterborough – BTTS
The first leg of our Monday Treble sees us head to Port Vale, where Peterborough visit on Monday night.
Port Vale will be happy with their 11th place position after getting promoted last season from League Two, and they’ve won four of their last six league games, including a 3-1 victory over Forest Green Rovers, and are only five points off the play off positions.
As for Peterborough, poor form has led to the reappointment of Darren Ferguson for a fourth spell until the end of the season, hoping to revive their promotion ambitions.
The visitors beat Vale 3-0 in the reverse fixture, and we could be in for a goal glut. Both sides will want to show their best hand to boost their play-off chances, so we think both teams will score in this one.
19:45 Monday
Empoli vs Sampdoria – Empoli
Empoli host Sampdoria in Serie A, with the hosts looking like the favourites.
Empoli have only lost one of their last five, drawing their latest two games, while the visitors only have one win in five, but did pick up just their second win of the season away at Sassuolo, before being defeated to high flying Napoli last weekend.
A win for the hosts will take them up to 11th, and we think they’ll do so against a struggling Sampdoria side, who are currently languishing in the relegation zone. Empoli to win is the second leg of our Monday treble.
20:00 Monday
Cadiz vs Elche – Cadiz
The final leg of our Monday treble sees Cadiz host bottom of the table Elche in La Liga.
While Cadiz could move out of the relegation zone and up to 13th with a win, Elche haven’t won a game all season, and their four points from 16 games this season means, barring a miracle, they look the most likely to go down into the second tier of Spanish football.
Cadiz have four points from their two games back since the restart, while Elche are currently on a five game losing run, going back to their 2-2 draw with Espanyol in October.
With this in mind, we think Elche’s bad run will continue, and Cadiz will pick up all three points to complete our Monday treble.
