Football Accumulator Tips: Tuesday’s 7/1 FA Cup Treble backs Liverpool win

Wigan vs Luton – Luton 

The first tie between these two in the third round ended in a 1-1 draw, with both goals coming in the  first half. However, in the replay of this fixture we don’t expect the same outcome. 

Luton have been competing well in the Championship over the last few years and that is the case once again this season. They sit 9th in the table and will have their sights set on the play-off spots, which they are only two points off. 

They come into this game in fair form, with three wins in their last five but lost a two goal lead at the weekend to lose 3-2 to West Brom. An outcome manager Rob Edwards will want to put right on their trip up north. 

They visit Wigan for a chance to reach the fourth round and we think they’ll do just that. Although they got a result in the last round, we can’t see the same thing happening again. 

Wigan sit bottom of the Championship and have lost four of their last five in the league. They come into this game in really poor form and we can’t see them getting a result against a good Luton side. 

Wolves vs Liverpool – Liverpool 

Wolves seem to have finally found their feet under Julen Lopetegui and the win vs West Ham at the weekend has taken them one step closer to survival. 

They picked up an amazing 2-2 draw at Anfield In the last round of the FA Cup to force a replay at Molineux, however we feel they won’t be able to pull off an even greater feat when Klopp’s side visit. 

Liverpool have been well off the pace all season and will be lucky to even qualify for Europe this year at this rate. Despite this, Klopp will see the FA Cup as the only chance to win silverware this season so may look to focus on it. They were easily beaten 3-0 at Brighton at the weekend so Klopp and the Liverpool fans will be looking for a response and we think they’ll get it. 

West Brom vs Chesterfield – West Brom 

The final leg of our FA Cup treble should also be the most straightforward. Chesterfield pulled off an excellent result at home in the last round to force a replay at the Hawthorns but we think they are up against it in this game. 

The Baggies are one of the most in form teams in the Championship and have climbed up the table from the relegation zone to 6th place since they sacked Steve Bruce. They have won four on the bounce, coming from two down to Luton at the weekend and are playing with real confidence. 

Chesterfield compete in the National League and are one of the lowest ranked teams left in the cup. Despite them fighting for promotion to League Two, they remain a far less talented team and we think West Brom will show their quality against them. A West Brom win for this one.
