Football Accumulator Tips: Saturday's 20/1 FavFour featuring in-form Brighton

Leicester vs Brighton – Brighton

Brighton travel to the King Power Stadium to play Leicester in the first leg of our FavFour. The Seagulls have been in good form of late, beating both Merseyside teams comfortably, and secured their spot in the fourth round of the FA Cup. They have also won on five of their last six games away from the Amex, with the only defeat coming in the Carabao Cup to Charlton on penalties.

As for Leicester, their form has fallen off a cliff in recent weeks. Many will remember their poor start to the season, which saw them lose six of their first seven league matches. They looked to have turned a corner before the World Cup, but are winless in five of their last six in all competitions since returning from the break, with the only win coming away at League Two Gillingham.

They have sorely missed James Maddison in recent weeks. Their recent defeat to Nottingham Forest, a side who they beat comfortably in the reverse fixture, just shows how poor the Foxes have been.

We think the bad spell for Leicester will continue against Brighton, with Roberto De Zerbi having his side in remarkable goalscoring form, with 12 goals in their last four league games. Leicester on the other hand, have only scored one goal in their last four league games, which came away at Anfield.

With the Seagulls having already beat the Foxes 5-2 in the reverse fixture, we think a similar scoreline could be on the cards for the visitors, so Brighton to win is the play.

Bournemouth vs Nottingham Forest – Nottingham Forest

Bournemouth host Nottingham Forest in the second leg of our FavFour, with Bournemouth looking to end their goal drought.

The Cherries have lost eight of their last nine, and have failed to score in the Premier League in four games – the current longest goalless run for any side in the league. It leaves the hosts a point outside the bottom three, but with West Ham and Everton playing each other, there is every chance they fall into the drop zone at the end of play on Saturday.

As for Forest, a good spell has seen them move five points clear of the bottom three, and four clear of their opponents. Unbeaten in their last three, they are on their longest unbeaten spell of the season so far, and will hope for it to continue.

After Bournemouth, a tough run of games on the horizon awaits, including a trip to Craven Cottage and welcoming Manchester City to the City Ground, so Steve Cooper’s men will be keen to get a win under their belt at the Vitality Stadium. We think they’ll do so.

Blackpool vs Huddersfield – Blackpool

Managerless Blackpool take on Huddersfield, with both sides in the relegation zone. Mick McCarthy is reportedly going to take over until the end of the season following Michael Appleton's departure, so we could expect a reply from a Blackpool side who have been out of sorts as of late. They did beat Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup, but struggled to add to that in the Championship.

It is a similar story this season for Huddersfield; however, their fall from grace has been much steeper. Following a playoff final defeat last season to Nottingham Forest, the club have been in turmoil this campaign. After already going through two managers this season, Mark Fotheringham’s side find themselves in 22nd, but have picked up seven points from a possible 12 in their last four.

We think Blackpool will bounce back and win at Bloomfield Road against an inconsistent Huddersfield.

Watford vs Rotherham – Watford

In the final leg of our FavFour, Watford host Rotherham. The Bees find themselves in 3rd place, and will be keen to assert their promotion chances against a Rotherham side in 19th place. They won two of their last four, reacting to a thumping defeat at Swansea and a home loss to Millwall by winning away at Norwich and beating Blackpool.

As for Rotherham, they hammered Blackburn to end a run of six without a win. However, a trip to Vicarage Road might see them lose once again. Four defeats in their last six and just two wins since mid-October highlight the bad run the Millers are on.

We think this will continue, with Watford grabbing all three points against a sorry Rotherham side.
