Sampdoria vs Inter Milan – Inter Milan

Inter Milan travel to 19th place Sampdoria in the first game of our Monday Treble. Sampdoria haven’t won in five league games, where they won away at Sassuolo in early January.

On the other hand, Inter Milan have been on a good run as of late, winning six of the last eight in Serie A. Unless there is a major shock on the cards, we expect an Inter Milan win as they look to continue their push for a Champions League place. The title looks quite unlikely, though, as they are 13 points off runaway leaders Napoli.

The visitors to take this one is our thinking.

Liverpool v Everton – Both Teams to Score

Our second game sees Sean Dyche’s Everton travel to Anfield for the 242nd Merseyside Derby.

Liverpool have been inconsistent as of late, and pressure is heaping under once untouchable Jurgen Klopp, as his side are currently sitting in 10th place. They haven’t scored in their last three Premier League games and haven’t won in the league since December. A defeat to their rivals Everton could deal a huge blow to their ambitions this season.

As for the visitors, having been on a eight match winless run, Everton beat league leaders Arsenal in Dyche’s first match at Goodison Park. They will be buoyant ahead of their trip to Anfield hoping to get a result to really move them up the table, but also pick up just their second win at Anfield in three seasons, having previously not won since 1999.

This one is close to call, but we do think both teams will get on the scoresheet in this one. Liverpool’s defence has been leaky and Dyche’s side looked solid against free-scoring Arsenal, so it could be an interesting match.

Espanyol v Real Sociedad – Real Sociedad

The final game of our Monday treble sees Espanyol host Real Sociedad in La Liga. The hosts are just a point outside the relegation zone, but have been in better form in comparison to the teams around them. They have seven points from a possible 12, meaning they moved above Valencia going into the next set of matches.

In contrast, Sociedad currently sit within the Champions League spots, four points ahead of Atletico Madrid in 4th place. They did suffer defeat to Real Valladolid at home, and have failed to score in their last three games in all competitions.

With this in mind, we think Sociedad will bounce back against a Espanyol side sitting near the bottom of the table.
